We were tasked with writing a personal narrative today, and I knew instantly that I wanted to tell a story from my childhood. My parents are such interesting people that do and say the craziest things. I instantly thought about a story involving my brand new bike, my grandparents, and a puddle the size of a small car. However, I found that memory too freshly wrapped with grief to come out of my brain and onto the paper. Instead, you get the first draft of my mother getting what she thought she wanted.
